Cast announced for Your Lie In April - The Musical In Concert in London
This musical adaptation, based on the best-selling manga Your Lie in April by Naoshi Arakawa, will bring audiences into the life of Kosei Arima, a piano prodigy who, following the passing of his mother, loses his ability to hear music. However, his meeting with Kaori Miyazono, a passionate violinist, will turn his life upside down.
Zheng Xi Yong (Spring Awakening) and Rumi Sutton (Hex) will play the lead roles of Kosei Arima and Kaori Miyazono. They will be joined on stage by Rachel Clare Chan and Dean John-Wilson, who also took part in Death Note: The Musical in Concert as Sayu Yagami and L, and Joanna Ampil (Miss Saigon).
The show will also feature Eu Jin Hwang, Julie Yammanee, Jade Albertsen, Lauren Chia, Hannah Yun Chamberlain, Imogen Rose Hart, Yuki Abe, Chris Fung, Ernest Stroud, JoJo Meridith, Michael Lin, Samuel How and Jason Wang-Westland.
This production sees the return of several members of the Death Note: The Musical artistic team, including director Nick Winston, set designer Justin Williams, and multi-award-winning Broadway composer Frank Wildhorn.
Naoshi Arakawa's Your Lie in April (11 volumes) has already been adapted into anime, live-action and a stage play. The musical, on which Your Lie In April - The Musical In Concert is based, was a huge success throughout Japan in 2022.
With performances scheduled for 8 and 9 April 2024 at London's Theatre Royal Drury Lane, this is an exceptional opportunity for all Europeans fans to discover Naoshi Arakawa's work in this musical theatre adaptation.
